Phytotherapy
Plant extracts for phytotherapy
From the Greek words phyton, plant, and therapeuein, to treat, phytotherapy is the use of plants for medicinal purposes. It is an alternative to medicinal treatments of chemical origin. Phytotherapy indications are based on the traditional use of plants, now backed by the analytical knowledge of their composition. Plant-based medicines follow the same regulations as every other medicine: they need a Drug Master File to be marketed.
A renowned specialist in vegetable extraction for more than 25 years, Alban Muller International (A.M.I.) is a leading Company on the international market of health and beauty natural products. It builds its offer on an upstream collaboration with plant growers. Due to its long experience in this field, it masters all the stages of the production of plant extracts for phytotherapy. Both a laboratory and an industrial production tool, A.M.I. is also a Technical Service Company dedicated to specific product developments (tinctures, fluid extracts, dry extracts) within the frame of official regulations.
Furthermore, A.M.I. has developed a range of titrated dry extracts readily available.
Some of them comply to the French Pharmacopoeia.
